Important Notice Reminder

Broadspectrum have notified us of their intention to carry out works on the Waitangi Bridge. The letter states that “the work involves timber deck repairs and construction of foreshore erosion protection.

The work is to start on the 18 September 2018 and is estimated to take two weeks, weather permitting. During this period traffic management will be in place and road users should expect delays.

During the construction period a full road closure is required to complete the bridge timber deck repairs. A detour will be in place via Haruru Falls Road from 25th – 27th September 2018.

At all times parking along the foreshore will be available and pedestrian access across the bridge.

The work will involve the use of machinery and power tools and we request that extreme caution be taken when passing through areas where machinery is operating.”
